Santa Clara Meditation Q&A by Members – What are some cool facts about the Universe?
My second son, who is currently in the 6th grade of elementary school, asked me one day: “Did you know Mom, Einstein was a huge playboy?” I was surprised, that that great old genius was such a playboy in his lifetime. My son and I laughed loudly and talked about Einstein, saying that he was human too.
As you all know, I am an ordinary housewife. My memory is not so good: I have asked myself whether my IQ is over 100, and I am just an ordinary person like you see everywhere. But I thought I could answer some questions, so I sat in front of my laptop and wrote this.
- Encountering the Universe by chance:
Before I started meditation, I was only interested in eating and living. I wasn’t interested in the Universe. I started meditation to get rid of my anxiety and worries about my future. I told a meditation expert this, so I was taught how to meditate, which was simple and easy to follow. After discarding my countless thoughts of anxiety and fear of living life in meditation, I was relieved of the burden and stress of my mind and realized the fundamental position of human nature and the Universe.
- The Universe lives forever and ever;
The most amazing thing about the Universe that I’ve come to realize is that the Universe is infinite. And even if numerous stars and matter are created and have disappeared, the original Universe, the emptiness itself, is immortal and immutable:
In this infinite emptiness, there is consciousness. This emptiness and consciousness are one. In fact, these wonderful words are things that many people who also practice the meditation that I have learned, have realized in their minds also, so I am by no means a great person.
But what I want to show off to you guys, it is to say that I have sincerely known that this eternal, never-changing, infinite, and living Universe is the real mind and that mind is the nature of all of us. This original Universe is our real consciousness. What’s even more surprising is that the more I have this in my mind, the more abundant and joyful life becomes. Before meditating, the Universe and I existed separately, but knowing that the Universe and I are one and living like that, I can live the life I want to.
- The Universe and humans are one:
Through meditation, I threw away the selfish mind that only knew about myself, and I could harmonize with people.
As I got free from my anxiety and worries, my body became healthy and pretty. As I understood the World’s principle within my heart, I learned how to live well and lived and put it into practice. The Universe is a mind of nature’s flow that transcends human religion, ideology, and philosophy. When the Universe becomes my mind, I live in nature’s flow.
Albert Einstein said this, right? “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”
There is already the Universe within you. When you discover it, all the mysteries of the Universe are unlocked.
