Santa Clara Meditation Drama – What are some harsh realities of life?
Born in the ’70s, since I was a child, I spent all day playing with my friends in the same neighborhood. Those of you who have watched the Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ will know this. I also enjoyed my childhood playing the games in the drama.
However, as I get older, the days of having fun without knowing the sun is setting are over, and I have become an adult who lives with a heavy burden from morning to night to take a job for a living and raise my two children well.
Do you guys feel like me too? ‘Life is nothing special.’, ‘I ate three meals a day and the day was over.’ I have a dream. Living in a house with a small yard instead of an apartment, growing vegetables, planting rose vines and growing cherry trees that my oldest son likes, and eating cherries that bear in June.
But the reality is different. I am too lazy to grow a garden at home, and unlike an apartment, it is not easy to move into a house that requires a lot of work without the consent of the family. And above all else, I often fail to grow even the smallest plants in my house, leave them alone and eventually kill them. Life in a country house with a garden is like a dream, far from my abilities and surroundings.
Reality and ideals are always so different. This is my life. So I found a solution. I decided to satisfy my desire to do something like growing cherry trees, planting vegetables, and harvesting. So, once a week, I teach meditation to students at a middle school in my neighborhood. To open the hearts of children, I prepare various activities and decorate presentations. And to actively respond to the urgent need for online lectures due to the Coronavirus that has been going on for two years, the virtual space is beautifully decorated with a metaverse platform such as Gathertown.

And to expand my consciousness, I meditate. When the narrow mind is let go through meditation, the walking trails in the neighborhood I walk and the hiking trails with my friends all become beautiful places in my consciousness. Even if I don’t simply pay money to buy land and build a house by stacking bricks there, my heart is at peace with the world.
