Master Woo Myung Teaching – Man Ends Up Following His Mind – If There Is Falseness in His Mind He Will Follow Falseness, If He Seeks Truth He Will Follow Truth
In the world, there is no such thing as a free lunch. That is, one acquires as much wealth and material things as the effort he has put into acquiring them. For example, some people were not able to finish the levels due to their karma. They could only reach a certain level of meditation because of the size of their minds, and the karma they had accrued. That is to say, their minds did not have the capacity to take in more.
I have met many narrow-minded people who were not thankful at all to people who taught them something; they believe that what they learned was accomplished on their own because of some superior quality of theirs. Because their minds did not have the capacity to fully take in what they had learned, they later spoke of what was in their minds – what they said was only their own preconceptions.
Even though many people live in this world, no two people are of the same mind. This is because everyone has his own mind. The mind one has is false so no matter how much Truth is spoken to him, he cannot understand or hear it because he does not have Truth within him. Jesus said that people cannot see although they have eyes to see and they cannot hear although they have ears to hear. This means that man is shackled to his mind and he does not know anything that is not within him. However what is in him is all false; it is not true.
When man’s false mind becomes the mind of the world which is true, man will be able to understand the laws of the world. Only then will he see the world as it is and only then will he know Truth. Knowing Truth is only possible when one’s mind becomes Truth.
Man only sees the outer form, but Truth sees whether the mind within is true. Man keeps scraps in his mind – everything he has learned and all that has happened to him – but these things are far from Truth, and they cause him to lose his human nature and care only about himself. If man recovers his human nature, the world will become truly peaceful. It will become a world where people can trust and believe in one another.
When one’s preconceptions and habits are thrown away, he will be able to accept everything in the world. The world will become a good place to live, as people’s narrow, negative minds become positive, practical and active. Life unfolds according to what is in one’s mind, and this is the same even in the false human world. If one has lived for money and academic achievements, these things will exist in his mind and his life in the future will revolve around these things.
Academics, the law and all that is man-made in the world will naturally disappear with time. The world where people live without the mind of self – in other words, the world of saints or righteous people – will be a truly joyful place to live, for all people will be of one mind. Without the minds of suffering and burden, there will be days of endless laughter. It will be a world without division between nations; a just world where people are honored to live for others; a world where people work with laughter and live joyfully; a world where all people live well. There will be no fear of death because people will live forever with heaven existing within them, and their selves born in heaven. This world and the world beyond will become one.
